Zooms, Zombies & Karen's Diner

Another early start. I am loving that I am back in the routine of getting up at 5am again. It feels like I am back in control and gives me such a head start on the day. Stripped the bed and threw the bedding in the wash so I could get it hung out on the line and take advantage of the good weather to get it dry in no time. I have been guilty of using the tumble dryer far too much but now I have a washing line again I am going to start pegging out more :-) I just need to get rid of those pesky wasps so I don't have to avoid going near the shed.

Read 3 chapters of my current book 'The Help" I can't put it down at the moment it's getting really good. First zoom was 9am to go through the changes and new things coming for Ziggle (baby gifts). Next one was 10am to unbox live all the new Caroline Gardner gifts and card ranges for Autumn/Winter this year. I love when we get new stuff as it's another reason to ring around customers and get appointments booked in the diary. Even if you have only just seen some of them they like to be amongst the first to get the new stuff in.

Marie dropped off Dudley for me to dog sit until tomorrow as she has a conference to go to. First job was to take them both out for a walk so that they would be tired for the day and not restless. He's a big softy, all be it a bit pongy, I think he has been rolling in fox poo as it has the smell. I might have to give him a bath tomorrow cos that smell lingers. I've put a throw on the sofa so he can go on it without making the cushions smell.

After a long walk I finished off some admin and sorting out the office then had a nice hearty breakfast to set me up for the day.

Before I knew it it was time to get ready for my birthday treats with Alexa and Fi. First stop was our VR zombie experience at Zero Latency in Trafford. It took a while to find it cos it was on an industrial estate. OMG it was absolutely brilliant! It's the first time I have done a VR experience and I was not disappointed. Even Alexa, who admitted she wasn't looking forward to it, said she loved it. It was such an immersive experience because you had to move around and go into different areas. I was worried about getting motion sickness but I think that would be the case in something where you were just sitting down moving about but this one you walked about etc. DEFINITELY want to do another one!

Next stop was Karen's Diner in Prestwich, which I have wanted to go to for ages ever since I saw posts on social media. It was such a good night, you really have to just let go and get involved. I had to do star jumps to get our blue cheese sauce for the Buffalo wings, Alexa ended up doing a fashion show and flashing her boobs and Fi had to crawl around like a cat. lol. We all had party hats with our own message on, really funny. The food was really nice, big portions ad we actually couldn't manage our wings by the time we ate our burgers.

It was such a great night and certainly going to be a difficult Birthday to beat. Challenge it ON people! lol. I love firsts and both these were new experiences for me. Roll on next birthday lol. I much prefer gifts that are an experience you can share with the people that bought them, than an item.
