You Can't Catch Gay!

Nicky popped round for a brew and a catch-up as she was in the area. I love seeing her s we just laugh all the time when we are together. I made us both a festive hot chocolate (any excuse for me lol) complete with squirty cream and sprinkles :-)

I started watching the 2nd part of the Harry & Megan documentary and I don't care what anyone says I am defo Team H&M. They just want to live their lives and not had the press feel entitled to own a piece of them. I can completely believe how 'The Firm' manipulate everything and are in bed with the media. I think the general public mostly just believes the shite they are spoon food by the press. I would much rather have a monarchy that is relatable and a bit more in touch with regular people than a bunch of uptight baffoons who are so far detached from the real world, it's laughable.

My friend Kath came around just as Nicky was due to leave, to give me my regular trim. She is so good she makes a special trip over every 4 weeks or so to cut my hair for me and she won't hear of it if I even try to pay her. She always checks with me if I am due a trim before any occasions that I might have coming up.

I received a lovely gift in the post from Rachel. A beautiful Christmas Tree ornament to remind me of Bonnie every year when I put it on my tree, It's so lovely that some of my friends have taken the time to order me things like this. I love it! I am so lucky to have such amazing friends.

I started watching a TV show called We're Here starring 3 US drag queens who go to towns in the states and put on a drag show and transform 3 local residents into drag queens for the show. The episode I watched was based on a town in Texas. Seriously they need to get out of the dark ages they are up in arms and banning books that have anything to do with gay people in them. Do people really think that you can turn gay because you read about gay lifestyles etc? I was surrounded by straight people and straight books and I didn't catch straightness. They were threatening business owners who were going to host a story time where a drag queen was going to read a regular kids' book to a group of kids. Children aren't born racist or homophobic they are taught it and pick up these things from what they see around them. So if we can teach kids acceptance from a young age we might not have so much hate in the world when they grow up.
