Another dark day to wake up to today which never fills you with enthusiasm to go out and do your thang. I decided though today I would focus on the positive and the fact that I get to have a different journey to work every day. I used to hate going the same route to the office every day and being stuck in traffic. The beauty of this job is I can plan my appointment times to avoid the school run and rush hour traffic.
I did some admin in the morning as my appointment in Cockermouth wasn't until 3pm! I don't know why but some of my friends still giggle like a child when I say I am going there? A bit of a late one but it meant I didn't need to set off until 12pm so would miss the busy roads. It's pretty much a 3-hour drive each way so I dropped Bella off at mums so that she wasn't sat in the car so long needing the loo or anything. Plus it's company for mum when Bella is with her in the day.
The appointment went well as I managed to sell in Giftwrap which has just been launched for next year. Did a big order for January delivery and also they wanted a small Christmas order for now. It's an account that has been dormant for a while and I really wanted to get them reactivated for Giftwrap. The reason I couldn't in the past was due to a shop on the same street, but they have recently closed.
They also want to see me in the new year to look at 2 of my other companies. One for Baby Gifts and the other for own brand candles. I've booked in a January appointment so I can hit the ground running straight after Christmas.
If you have a shop and need any Giftwrap please click the brochure and you can see the 2023 preview (shameless plug lol). Oh and if you don't own a giftshop why not take the plunge and go open one and give me a call to supply you with all your greeting cards, gifts, candles and giftwrapping ;-)
On the way back from Cockermouth the drive through woods with no lights and rain coming down heavy in the dark looked like the kind of drive you see in a horror movie. I was just waiting for some dark figure to jump out from the dark into my headlights. :-/
Thankfully I didn't break down with no phone signal and get stuck in the middle of nowhere on my own and made it back home in one piece :-)
