Woke up without my alarm at 5am so I think it's starting to become a habit for my brain now. Got up, showered, had a coffee whilst reading a chapter of one of the many "Shelf help" books I have (how Jim Kwik describes when you buy self-help books but they just sit on the shelf un-read) I often buy books that inspire me at the airport when I am going on holiday. I read it intently on the flight then end up far too busy enjoying my trip to continue (thought I could find time and opportunities if I really wanted to). So I decided that if I want to make these books Self Help and not Shelf help then I should maybe read them. So I am going to start reading s chapter a day with my coffee. If I manage to start doing this as a habit I will then be able to rattle through all the half-read or just-started books I have in my office. I'm currently reading "Atomic Habits by James Clear" I started it ages ago and really got into it but then as per usually brought it home and forgot all about it. If I could read a book a month I'd be well-chuffed. Let's see how I get on with the one book first lol.
Had a really productive day sorting out Salesforce, which is the system we use to our CRM so we know where we are up to with each customer and when they are due a call etc. It has kind of fallen by the wayside for a while and needs an overhaul and records updating. I've designed a dashboard that is quite visual and easy to see where each of us needs to focus our efforts. I sent out a bulk email to a lot of accounts that have slipped away a bit and not ordered for a while. I had a few emails back asking for brochures or appointments so hopefully, we will re-activate some old accounts. Even when I got emails that bounced back undelivered, I still saw it as a positive as it meant I needed to check online to see if they were still open and many weren't. This in itself has been worth doing the exercise as it clears out all the rubbish and stops us from wasting time trying to ring hops that are no longer there. I just feel so motivate at the moment and really focused. Can't be a coincidence can it?
Andy Lee popped round at lunch time for a quick demo on Wix to see if it would be easy enough for him to build his own website. If I managed it I'm sure anyone can. Mine might not be all singing and dancing but it does what I need it for at the mo.
Took Bella for a walk then as soon as I mentioned BATH she hid in the office under the desk lol. She's not a fan of water not sure why. She has been scratching herself so much today I even noticed she has broke the skin on her stomach where she keeps scratching the same bit. So I decided to give her a bath with a soap that Cinnamon Aitch very kindly sent me that is for sensitive skin. I didn't dry her with the hairdryer and just toweled her dry so not to give her any more discomfort from the het of the dryer. After he bath she lay all content on the sofa. She was still scratching but not as much. It obviously wont solve it after just one bath but we will see. Also ordered some other shampoo Rachel recomended that helps with skin conditions in case that's the issue. I'll try anything if it soothes it for her. She is booked inthe vet Friday so he can have a look and see what mega expensive tablets he recommends this time.
Updated COS Warzone 2 as it's got a new map starting today. It took so long to update though that me and Fi said we would wait until Sunday night when we are both free as we are both busy from tomorrow onwards. It's good to discover the new game together (sad I know lol).
Morning appointment in Cumbria tomorrow so better hit the sack.
