Wet Wednesday

Had a lay in (if you can call 8am a lay in) as I was working from home today. Had a Zoom call with Caroline Gardner to discuss performance and the current climate etc. I think we are doing okay for them as we have won a prize the last two quarters for hitting our targets so can't be doing that bad. October was a rubbish month but I was away for 17 days of it so it's going to be slower than other months. Hopefully we will make it up this month though.

Today was such a miserable day I was glad I didn't have to leave the house. It surprising how much the weather can affect your mood. When I woke up it was dark and pouring down with rain and didn't really change all day. You just want to stay in where it's cozy and not move out when it's like this. Luckily it was my admin day.

Lynne rang to see if I wanted her to bring some lunch round, errr hell yeah ! lol. I made us both a nice festive coffee with squirty cream and festive sprinkles and a nip of whiskey to give it a warm feeling on the way down ;-)

She brought a surprise bag of shopping, so it felt like "ready, steady, cook" and I whipped us up a cajun chicken salad with avocado, tzatziki, and naan bread shards (posh name for cutting it all a bit random). It was very tasty if I say so myself and great to have a lunchtime catch-up.

Started planning our next Tavern event for the festive period. We weren't going to do anything but it just felt wrong not to have something festive going on so watch this space...

If you are reading this and haven't yet bought all your Christmas Gifts, please check out the Virtual Tavern Directory. It's still in it's early stages but you have to start somewhere. It would be great to show some love to the guys that have jumped on early to show their support by advertising on the directory.
