Vienna - Day 2

*** 30 Day Photo Challenge ***

Day 16 - Close Up

Had a rubbish night's sleep. The bed itself is comfy but the pillow are that soft foam stuff that's just not comfy. Felt like I was awake most of. the night rearranging the pillows into some shape or another to get comfy. Anyway woke up quite late about 6am and filmed a few morning shots for the Vlog lol then the girls came round to collect me for breakfast (they are only next door lol).

There was quite a good selection for breakfast so we had a few bits and bobs to fill us up for the sightseeing.

Fi and lex had done a bit of research beforehand a few friends had recommended places to visit. We got a tram/bus/train pass for 48 hours so we can hop on and off over the next two days. It

might even cover us to go back to the airport by train so we can see a bit more of Vienna rather than just a taxi ride.

We jumped on the train and headed towards St Stephen's Cathedral Passing a few lovely buildings on the way.

Surprisingly it was free to go in unless you wanted to go further inside. But I'm usually just happy taking a few pics and then I want to be off to the next destination. We each lit a candle for someone that had passed away. Fi was quite emotional as it had been somewhere her grandparents had wanted to visit but never had. Then just to tip her over the edge, as we came out a young girl was playing Ave Maria on the violin which was a song her grandmother loved. I was going to video the tears for the Vlog but thought it might not go down well (I'm jokin).

We passed through the food market where they had loads of spices are really good prices as well as various bars and cafes from different cuisine. We had a pit stop at one bar so we could use the loo and just had a Rose wine while we waited ;-)

We visited a few other places I can't put a name to but they looked good on pics so I was happy. We had a laugh all day as the 3 of us just get along so the day went by really fast.

We stopped for some lunch at about 2:30pm as we had decided we would just have snacks and a movie in the room later. Well that was the plan but there were no English channels and we couldn't get the iPad to Cast to the TV so we gave it up as a bad job and had an early night.

It actually makes a change, not watching telly until late, and also gives me time to do my blog for all the millions of readers, waiting with bated breath for my next installment (NOT). lol.

Put together another Video of the day if you want to just grab the highlights :-)
