Slept really well despite the constant coughing and the bed was really comfy. Woke up at about 10am and heard Julie get up. She brought me up a coffee in bed which was a nice and then we got up and had bacon muffins for breakfast. She was going to make Mcdonalds-style Sausage and egg muffins but I didn't want too much to eat as I was at Rachels mums 90th at 1pm and it was afternoon tea so didn't want to rock up full.
Went home and showered and changed and then headed over to Rachels. There were quite a few people there including family and also Lex n Fi and Charlotte and her girlfriend Chelsea, who seemed lovely.
It was nice spending time with everyone and Rachel's mum seemed to really enjoy the afternoon bless her. I know people a fraction of her age that are less active and do less for themselves. My grandad is 91 and he still insists on getting up to make you a brew when you go and visit him. His theory is always 'use it or lose it' and believes you need to keep active to stop everything from seizing up and going stiff.
Called at mums to pick up Bella and ended up falling asleep as did mum. When I woke up I headed back home to get in my PJ's and get on the sofa so I could cosy up with Bella. First I took Bella out for a walk even though I wasn't really in the mood, I knew she would appreciate it and also settle better when she's been out and had some exercise. It also means I get my steps up on my apple watch as I have an ongoing competition with Becky to see who can get the most points by the end of each week. It's a good way to spur each other on and encourage each other to be more active. Plus the fact my watch is constantly alerting me that my blood pressure is high even when I am sat down, means I need to up my activity and lose some weight for sure.
Had a few games on the PS4 with Fi but she has her sister staying with her at the mo and I think everyone is the house is using the wifi in one way or another. Be that streaming or using ipads or gaming consoles She probably has 4 of them now on the wifi so she kept freezing up and having to exit the game so we gave up after a while as it wasn't manageable. It's funny how we now depend on broadband more and more and I now have a smart home with my devices depending on the wifi so will no doubt need to up my bandwidth at some point soon.
Went to be not feeling the best and hoping this lurgy aint coming back :-/
