Last night was SOOOO hot trying to sleep. I had the window open and the fan on but the window being open actually made it worse as it was just blowing in hot air.
When I woke up I could feel the heat coming in through the window and knew it was gonna be a scorcher.
Went down to mums to pick her up and take her to the hospital for an endoscopy, but by the time I'd got home, she rang to ask me to pick her back up. Apparently, her temperature was too high so they couldn't perform the procedure and told her to go home and do a covid test. We did one when she got home but it was negative, it was probably because she's not been able to eat for 24 hours and not really slept.
I rang Nicky around lunchtime to see if she had any plans for the day and it just so happened that she had just done a Uni exam and was on her way back. So I invited her over for lunch and asked her to pick up some pits to make us a poke bowl. when she arrived we agreed to have a few drinks and a dip in the hot tub for a bit first. We started off with a few Lemon cocktails, I'm not sure what they are called but it was limoncello, prosecco and soda over ice. They were lovely and very refreshing and then went on to glasses of fizz.
Lunch never happened lol. By the time it got later we had an invite to go round to Nicky's mum as she had some friends over. It was good to do impromptu stuff and catch up with friends when you get the chance.
Shellie and the other friends that were there were really easy to get along with and I felt like I had met them before even though it was the first time I'd met them all.
I got a taxi home once I got to the stage where I felt like I'd had enough to drink as I didn't want to be rough tomorrow.
