Top Tip Thursday

Went for a B12 injection in Royton with Kath first thing. I was meant to be having a Vitamin C injection but I thought I would try B12 this time as I had the Vit C 4 weeks ago. Straight after Kath gave me a haircut as it was due since my last one.

Spent some of the day updating the Tavern Website to include a Preferred Partners section as we have started to work with brands to give members discounts and deals. We are also in the final stages of sorting out a partnership with a brand that will allow members to do their regular online shopping whilst also raising donations for the tavern without it costing them anything. I'm looking forward to launching it very soon. I've already started testing it with the admin guys and some friends to see how easy it is.

Not much else to report from today so thought I would share my Top tip for cooking when you live alone or want to be more efficient with your cooking.

Today's Top Tip

I decided to make chilli and rice for tea and as usual, I always make a big pan of chilli and lots of rice. I don't see the point in boiling a small pan of rice or making enough chilli for just one, when I can make enough to freeze and have ready meals that are home-made.

Once I'd had my tea and the rice and chilli had cooled I portioned it all into these handy trays I got from Amazon that have two sections. You can them HERE but that's not the best bit. I use these labels to write on what's in the trays (I usually have quite a few different meals in the freezer) but once you have used the meals. you can just run the label under water and the label just dissolves. you can get your labels HERE
