Woke up with the sun at 5am and took Bella out to the park. There were so many things that bring me pleasure like a new bench that has appeared, flowers starting to appear, the smell of fresh grass and the mowed lines. It can be the little things that get my day of to a good start, when I have the time to take it all in. But then those things were also offset by inconsiderate people littering all over the place. I just don't understand why people have no respect for where they live. The council removed the bin from the park (which was never a good idea when kids play there and need somewhere to dispose of rubbish). Then put brand new ones elsewhere and now for some reason, the old bin is back? Why not put one of the new ones in?
I love early mornings in the spring and summer for releasing the happy hormones.
Here is a video mixed with things that make me happy and also make me sad :-/ I ended up getting my steps up by going back and forth about 60 times to the bin with items of rubbish. It was a win:win as I got more steps and also left the place better than I found it.
Had no appointments today so did some admin then me Lynn to go into Manchester for Lunch. I also had some Selfridges vouchers from my 50th last year that I haven't spent. I wanted to get something specific from Hayley, Natalie and Louise. I can't normally justify spending a lot of expensive fragrances etc but I wanted to treat myself since I had vouchers, so I bought a bottle of Aqua de Palma cos it smells amazing.
After a bit of retails therapy, we headed over to Wagamama's for lunch. I nearly always have the Katsu curry cos I love it, but I thought I need to continue to try new things so went for some Sushiu to start and then the Beef Brisket in Teriyaki sauce with rice and vegetables. It was SOOOO nice and I had a beetroot and fruit juice for extra vitamins. It's been ages since me and Lynne had a catch up so it was good to get together and be able to synchronise diaries.
After lunch we headed home with our full bellies and me smelling gorgeous lol.
Had to wait up until later as mum flew back in from Crete and landed at 10:40, but it ended up being delayed an hour so by the time I had picked her up, and dropped her off, gone back again because she forgot her key and home again it was 1:45am and I was goosed. Needless to say I won't be getting up at 5am tomorrow.
