Didn't make the mistake of snoozing the alarm today and instead got up at 5am and jumped in the shower. I completed my morning routine and got dressed in my work clothes, only to realise my appointment was tomorrow in Clitheroe not today. Oh well, I will still be more productive fully dressed than slobbing around in my PJ's ;-)
Took the dogs out nice and early armed with a carrier bag again. Had my headphones on with motivational speeches playing whilst I picked up litter along my journey. I think I need to invest in a litter grabber so that I'm not having to pick up stuff with my hand. I try to use one hand but both end up getting grubby as I remove the ring-pulls from any can I find.
Filled another carrier bag full of stuff and disposed of in the bin at the park. It would be easy to think 'Why bother?' when it ends up with a load more litter tomorrow. Instead, I look at it from the point of view of how much worse it might look if I didn't bother. Every little helps as Tesco say ;-)
Lynne picked me up at 5:15pm to go to the theatre. We went to Don Giovanni for a pre theatre dinner. We didn't have time for starters so just had a main course each. I went for the chicken in a mushroom sauce with a side of fries. It was really nice, very tasty and definitely something I want to try and make myself at home. I have it often at different places so why not give it a whirl?
We just had time to get the food and a couple of bottles of Pinot down and then it was time to head over to the theatre.
We also ordered drinks and snacks to be delivered to our seats for the start of the show to save time queuing when we got there.
We took our seats and part way through up until about 20 mins in people were still being shown to their seats. One woman clearly thought 'if I'm gonna be late I might as well make sure people notice me' so had the biggest fur hat on you can imagine. The perfect head attire for sitting in the theatre (not). I'm just glad I wasn't sat behind her lol. I think the row behind us was sponsored by Walker's Crisps. I think the theatre should do the same as pubs do when you wanna take bottles out of the pub, when they pour them into plastic cups. Anything noisy should be poured out of the bags into plastic cups :-)
The show was amazing and had some fantastic voices, especially the lady that played Effy. It was a really good night and we had such a laugh from start to finish. they even made me stand up and sing one of the show songs our of Lynns sunroof, while everyone was queuing for the car park :-) ( I say made me, I didn't need much encouragement, it was my pretty woman moment lol).
