Had a nice chilled day catching up on my blogs and reviews and getting some social media posts scheduled for Reil Agencies for the week.
Louise popped round as she is down from London to help clear her parent's house out of their possessions since he dad has recently passed. It's amazing the amount of "stuff" we accumulate over time, that someone someday will need to sort through. I know when my dad passed away I did most of the clearing out for my mum as I probably find it a bit easier once someone has passed, to detach myself from the tasks that need to be completed. I usually end up being the one to help sort out funeral arrangements etc as I just think of it all as a project. It's not that I am cold emotionally or anything it's just that I am quite pragmatic in that none of us are getting out of this thing alive so it's inevitable that someday everyone is going to die so I kind of treat it a bit like that. I have my initial upset when it first happens but then I just think we have to move on and carry on with our lives and not waste time grieving for years as that's not what the other person would want.
I am going to try and constantly declutter my home and life so that there is less for someone to deal with and hopefully whatever I leave behind will be of use to someone.
Nick, my neighbour from across the road, popped over with a surprise birthday gift for me. He has made me a tea light holder out of a piece of salvaged Yew. He has been collected fallen branches and pieces of wood and then turns them into all kinds of creations. So talented. I absolutely love it! I asked if he had any other pictures of pieces he had to sell as I know if I post them on my profile there will be people interested as they are such unique pieces and so well handcrafted. The minute I posted some of the pics he had one sale immediately and mote followed. I would love to be able to get him some sales by way of a thank you for my gift.
Mum rang to see if I could pick the dogs up as she has been in a lot of pain with her kidney stones and there is nothing worse when you are in pain than dogs keep barking etc. I went down for them and also took her some Ibuprofen to hopefully help ease the pain. I told her it might be a sign that they are moving, which is a good thing. Let's hope she passes them soon.
Went up to bed early so I can try and get up at 5am again tomorrow and get my morning routine back. Also arranged to do Yoga with Layla at 7am as I really enjoyed that as a stary to my morning and then I would take. the dogs out straight after at 7:30am.
Let's see if I manage it all ;-)
