T'was a Good Friday

Woke up to the sun shining through the blinds, which instantly puts me in a good mood. I had made myself a big list of stuff I want to try and get done over he bank holiday as it's meant to be nice all weekend. Started off by Hoovering the stairs as that was and quick and easy one to tick off. Cleared the rubbish out of the back garden and then Jetwashed the front path and car as well as cleaned the inside and express polished the outside but not very well as it was a bit streaky :-/ Then in perfect timing, my car mats from Amazon arrived whilst I was cleaning the inside.

I had a good talk with Liz and Nick across the road, and was explaining about how I am not very comfortable with chit chat and they may have noticed. Liz said she noticed it because her kids are the same and thought for a long time I might be on the spectrum. It's like the missing piece of the jigsaw and feels like a lot of things in my life are starting to make more sense. I explained that I usually shy away from asking questions about other people and instead just talk about things I know well m like myself, my job or the Tavern. It's mainly because I have. really bad memory and if I ask someone a question I need to remember what they have said and usually won't. so then the next time I see that person they will expect me to ask them about the holiday they went on etc but I won't even remember they have been on holiday, so it all just feels like pressure so I avoid it :-/. People make the assumption I am really confident but I'm actually not it's all a front.

Anyway, I took Bella for a walk and met a dog walker called lady and thought I would try and put my conversation skills to the test. I found her name (Lesley) and her two dogs were called Maisy and Poppy. I had to keep saying the names over in my head while she was talking which then distracted me from what she was saying. In the end I had to come clean and explained to her what I was doing. She laughed cos she said her daughter thinks she has ADHD too. We ended up chatting for over an hour like we had known each other for years. I found out about her daughter and her two surrogate children (one from Canada) who has dual citizenship. I am going to turn it into a game and go into every encounter with the challenge of finding out as much as I can about people. I'm quite good at remembering random stuff so I just need to find a way to anchor it to the person I'm talking to.

Adele popped around for a cup of tea and we had a hot cross bun in the sun together in my back garden. I ended up burning my face cos the sun was hotter than it looked. I got invited round for dinner (fish finger butties, cos it's good Friday so she said I had to have fish).

I ended up talking her into us playing "Play Your Cards Right' after dinner in the garden lol.

I took round a bottle of Noseco and me and Adele had that in champagne flutes and it didn't feel any different to drinking prosecco (apart from the fact I could drive home). We had a few games of PYCR and made Schmores in the fire (a first for me) I've never had them before. Then I headed home to get back to Bella bless her (and Fi for. a few games of Warzone lol).
