Sunday Roast on Tuesday

Didn't wake up early enough to do Yoga his morning and had to be at the doctors for 9am for an ultrasound. The district nurse checked my kidneys to see if there were any kidney stones. She said there was nothing showing up and that I may have passed them. I kind of figured that would be the case cos I wasn't in any pain anymore. Had they done the ultrasound 3 weeks ago when I was in agony it might have been a different story. Either way, I was just glad there wasn't anything showing up so I shouldn't have any more pain, fingers crossed.

Andy Lee popped around for a brew whilst doing his mid-morning walk. He is trying to do more exercise and is following a strict diet as his cholesterol came back quite high and it kinda scared him. It seems like everything starts to creak and clunk as you get older. While Andy was at min he invited me up to his for dinner. He said he would pick me up and we could have a few drinks but I decided I would drive up instead and skip the wine. I explained that we don't need to have wine just cos I am coming up for dinner, it's not like we are going out and it's just extra calories we both can do without.

I drove up to Andy's and Becky had made a very healthy roast chicken dinner using her air fryer. I don't know why but I can't help but call roast dinners a Sunday dinner no matter what day of the week I have it lol. She has one of the double-drawer Ninja ones that everyone is now trying to get their hands on. I think there is a waiting list for them at the moment.

It was a nice night sat in front of the log firer in the lounge after we had eaten. I know Andy would quite easily have opened a bottle of wine if I had encouraged him so I purposely asked if I could have a cup of tea so he would have one too. I think it's a habit sometimes having a drink with food so I am trying to get out of that habit and if I drive it's an easy 'out' to not have a glass.
