Sunday Funday

Updated: Dec 6, 2022

Woke up at around 9am and nipped out to the shop for some bacon and muffins for breakfast. Emma came round at about 10:30 and I made us all a bacon butty (mum included as she stayed at mine). It was so good catching up and it always feels like we were just together yesterday. You know when you just feel like you were meant to meet somebody for a reason. I started on my Forever Living journey because of Emma and although I no longer actively promote it I still love and use the products. The Virtual Tavern came about through our friendship and that has been a huge part of my life since lockdown. Emma has now set up a new company called Entrepreneurcity which is an online University for entrepreneurs and I just know it's going to be massive because everything she set her mind to she succeds in. I feel as though one way or another we are going to be working together again soon (watch this space).

After Emma left she wrote this really lovely post on Facebook:-

THE LOVE IS INDESCRIBABLE THE STORY ISN’T!

I can totally describe the story of how we met and what craziness has happened in our friendship so far..

We met in the NEC at an exhibition. I was on the hunt for wine & he had already forecasted this and provided me with the goods It was love (for me)

I honestly thought ”omg I wanna be friends with him” but I’m not funny enough or sociable enough I don’t think I’d be his cuppa tea (I felt like a groupie) we made friends on Facebook though.

He searched me on the internet and messaged me about started in my network marketing team and got started! He did amazingly well and his business grew but our friendship grew so much faster.

He came to Sweden and I invited him for his birthday breakfast to my hotel room only to bomb his birthday with a breakdown and tears because as he arrived I’d just found out my sisters diagnosis. He was AMAZING and I'll never ever forget that.

As lockdown began I came up with the idea of starting a Virtual Village including a virtual pub - one person only I could think of as the landlord. Of course Neil. It grew so fast we were in magazines & newspapers. Neil was the landlord of the Virtual Tavern.. You can still join here >> https://www.facebook.com/groups/TheVirtualTavern/ And it was a light in a really dark time to so many! His personality is infectious and you just wanna be around him!

Long after lockdown The Virtual Tavern had continued to grow (over 40,000+strong) He was nominated by the community of the tavern and appeared on Ant & Decs Saturday night takeaway because of the numbers of lives he impacted on and gave a community to in the loneliest moments of their life.

Neil doesn’t shout about it but he so should - He helps sooooo many wonderful charities & causes such as the homeless in Manchester.. recently bought and donated sleeping bags with foil inside & waterproof outside to go out and pass to those that need it. The list of the generosity he has & the taverners is just next level!

Today I met his mum for the very first time in the flesh. I broke down in tears tbh. As a mum (especially of boys) you know how much you worry about bringing them up right, you want them to have good hearts, treat people well, the list goes on…

I had to thank her for him, she’s raised such a beautiful, blooody gorgeous, heartwarmingly kind & off the scale funny man… and because if my boys turn out just 1/10th of the gorgeous human he is I’d feel like I’d truly succeeded.

We’ve only been friends for about 5 years but we are “together forever” we know there’s so much in store & memories to be made together!!!

So this is my bestie Neil & I hope that everyone finds a Neil in their life!!!! He makes everything feel better

How lovely is that for someone to write about you? Usually, people only say things like that at your memorial so it's nice to know how someone feels about you when you are still around to see it.

Spend the rest of the morning before lunch time wrapping up the Tavern on Tour mugs that people have ordered and writing out more Christmas cards. I'm trying to be organised and get my cards sorted as soon as possible. Ive already sent out one bug batch I just need to fiish off the ones that I wasn't sure about the addresses for and then hand deliver he neighbours cards.

Had a great afternoon and night out with mum. We went to watch Andy Lee and his sister Kazz singing at The Bulls Head in Mill Bottom. Chris G and his wife were there too it was a really good afternoon. Christ G found a photo of us both from 2017, so we replicated the same pose but now I have hair and he doesn't lol.

We ended up going on to The Weavers after and then on to the Buck and Union. I still managed to be in bed by midnight as it had been a long day so felt much later.
