Not going to lie I woke up this morning and it was a real effort to not rearrange my appointment. I still felt a bit weak and full of a cold and had no energy. BUT, I gave my head a quick wobble and got up and showered and felt immediately better once I was up. I have a bottle of ginger juice in the fridge and have been making my own ginger shot by putting a small amount into little bottles an adding apple juices it's way too spicy on its own. I necked one of those and also made up a protein shake with a sachet of supergreens (contains 20 fruit and vegetables freeze-dried and made into a powder). I need to improve my self-care which will hopefully stop me from getting colds and sniffles etc. My diet has been shocking during the autumn/winter months, but now the weather is changing it's going to be easier to eat healthier and more salads etc.
Spent the day in Penrith doing a CHRISTMAS appointment, which felt so wrong when it was really sunny and hot when I got there. I had to leave Bella hoe as I didn't want to risk not being a le to park in the shade. Luckily our Danni was doing my clean today to was able to make sure she went out for a wee etc.
My new iPhone charging leads had arrived when I got home. I know this is sad but it gave me a sense of inner peace being able to swap the ones that were from my house and orange (and labelled up for the specific room they belong in). Instead, I now have red ones to match the car colour lol. I know, I know I am getting worse, but every time I saw the other wires all I could see was which rooms they had been taken from. It probably sounds daft but little things like this really stop me feeling stressed. I don't have to hunt high and low for a phone charger or plug as I have one in each room (first-world problems eh lol).
I bought some small gut health shots from Booths on the way home. I am trying to improve my gut health as a lot of research is being done to show that a lot of our illnesses stem from bad gut health. Anything I can do to improve my wellbeing I am up for trying. Plus it's a double win cos I can use the small bottle for my ginger and turmeric shots (when I make the turmeric ones). I can make a batch of homemade shots for about the same price as I would pay for one in the shops and there will be no additives in them or ingredients you can't pronounce.
I thought I would go all out and the health kick and have a chicken salad for dinner. I just need to kick the sugar habit and snacking later on as I end up undoing all the good I do with a healthy dinner by eating another 4000 calories with crisps and biscuits etc :-/
Rather than go on a diet or a fad I am just trying to make small changes regularly to help myself be the best version of me that I can be. For example, I want to cut down my dairy intake but I know I would struggle to give up cheese so I am just starting by swapping out milk for oat or almond milk and changing butter for plant-based spread. Hopefully, lots of little changes will make a big difference. I am not going to suddenly attempt to spend hours in the gym, but will start by trying to hit my 10,000 steps on a daily basis to help me be more active.
Early night as want to be up at 5 tomorrow. ;-)
