Woke up bright and early with the sun shining which made a big change from yesterday. Got up and showered etc and skipped breakfast as I didn't want anything swishing in my stomach while I was indoor skydiving. I dropped Bella off at mum and picked Kirsty up then we headed over to ifly in trafford.
Arrived in plenty of time and watched the previous group doing their fly's and then we had to head into another room for a quick briefing and to get suited up and put on goggles, helmets and earplugs. Each fly was 1 minute and you had a choice if you also wanted to go up with the instructor holding on to you for an extra £10. If you didn't you still got 1 minute but you spent it down he bottom of the tunnel. I got two 'flights' as part of my voucher that Kirsty got me for Christmas so paid and extra £20 to go up on both as you might as well have the full experience if you are going to do it.
Absolutely loved it! I think that was what I thought a real skydive would feel like when I did it in Australia. Oh no not at all. From the minute you jump out of the plane you just feel like you are falling to the ground at great speed and it's coming toward you FAST! Maybe if I did one after doing this I might feel different but not sure lol.
I paid for the media package so they took pics and a video. You got a code and could download 1 pic and the video. Considering they are only going to delete the pics I would have thought the package would just allow you to download them all as there was probably only about 10 and it's not like they have to print them. Never known that kind of package for pics that only lets you choose one before. Felt a bit tight of them to be honest.
Kirsty took a few videos for me, here's one of them...
and I also got the one I paid for...
After I'd done my flights I paid the extra £20 for going up top and also booked another 4 flights for £29.99 (half price) as I really want to do more. Hopefully, I will be able to talk Kirsty into doing it with me next time.
On the way back to mum's we stopped off at Tim Hortons for some lunch as I haven't been to one before s its a new Candian chain thats just mzking its wy to the northwest. There is one opening in Oldham very soon. They had a really good menu choice and as we had missed breakfast decided to get lunch instead. I went for grilled cheese, Lattice fries, banofies latte and 10 timbit (which a small flavoured donut balls). Really liked everything and will defo go again.
I was going to save mum soem Timbits but ate them all so ended up getting her a box for after her burger.
Kirsty stayed at mine and we both got in our PJ's straigh away and watched a couple of films. Great day and full of nice memories.
