Woke up reasonably early and picked mum up to take her to Lidl for food shopping, as I needed to do a food shop too as not done one in a while. I took the plunge and got a loan from Natwest over 5 years to get me back in the black and give me a bit of breathing room. I'm paying it back over 5 years by which time. I will be 55 and then should be able to get equity release on my house and use the money to go travelling in the winter and stay at home in the Summer (that's the plan anyway).
Whilst at the checkout at Lidl I saw these Bargain Boxes containing fruit and veg with a short shelf life for just £1.50 !! Yes £1.50. I had a look inside one of the boxes and it had a tub of different coloured tomatoes that I had already put in my basket and was over £1 just for those. I put them back and grabbed a box. Result!
Only trouble is when I do a 'big shop' I then spend the next few hours eating bits opf everything and over indulging with all the lovely goodies I've bought.
Had a chilled out Sunday and started watching Un-Coupled on Netflix.
Also put my cuttings from Layla in their new home on the windowsill until they start to grow some roots so I can plant them.
