Woke up really early, but to be honest, I didn't sleep much. Nothing to do with the comfort of the bed (they were comfy), but due to Mum snoring. I try not to shout at the person who snores because it's not something that can be helped and I'm probably the world's worse when I start.
We went down for breakfast and had a full English to set us up for the day (which also was part of the assignment). I could get used to being a mystery shopper/secret diner cos I love my food and to get to be able to do it for free is even better lol.
I wouldn't normally eat a full English at home but sometimes you have to suffer for your assignment ;-) I wanted to make sure I tested the full guest experience. The only thing I didn't do is visit the gym and pool as it was a bit late when arrived last night (that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it).
After checking out. I had to do a quick review of the on-site Starbucks for the assignment. Only needed to order a quick drink and report on the service and the merchandise display etc.
Straight after that, I dropped mum off and had a quick power nap before heading to Stockport to do a product taste testing of the new Corona Extra. It was literally in and out in 20 mins after tasting the new beer and completing a survey on my phone. £20 voucher coming my way. Every little helps ;-) I'm using any market research money and vouchers to put towards my Bali Trip, be that spending money or buying products I will need for the trip with the amazon vouchers etc.
I literally had time to get home and get showered and ready and then it was time to meet Rachel for a night at Six by Nico and the new Hanoi 6-course taster menu.
We got a welcome glass of prosecco courtesy of Six by Nico because I go so often. Its a lovely touch and really makes you feel appreciated. The meal itself was also complimentary as I had been invited back with a guest as a thank you for my continued support. Even though the meal was complimentary we ordered the aperitif and snack to go with the meal so that we were at least paying for something as part of the visit. The food was amazing as always and Rachel is always great company. I forgot to get a picture of the snack :-/
The dessert was my favourite dish I could have eaten it twice, but that's what I love about the meals here, you are left feeling full and satisfied but not bloated and uncomfortable.
When I asked for the bill I was really surprised when she came back and said it had all been taken care of. So the night didn’t cost us a penny.
Great food, perfect company and a lovely night.
