Bacardi is a drink that is a staple in my drinks cupboard as it's very versatile and can be used with various mixers as well as to make daiquiris in the summer.
I usually drink it with tonic after overindulging on Bacardi and coke once in Spain and being ill so can't stand the smell of Bacardi and coke. This time I had it with Fanta Orange and it was a really different flavour profile and very pleasant.
You can get generic white rum but it does not come close to the taste of Bacardi and it has a really harsh taste. It's worth paying more for the real deal rather than settling for cheap imitations.
