Not Everyone Has Scruples

Hardly slept last night not sure why I woke up 00:20 and then seemed to be awake most the night from then. I even got up at one point as I just couldn't get back to sleep, and Febreze'd my cushions and sofa and tidied round in the kitchen (lol how sad eh). I thought I might as well do something productive rather than lying there getting frustrated that I couldn't sleep. Then when it was time to get up I had gone into a deep sleep and slept through and couldn't get up.

Eventually, I got myself up and made a start on my office so it's back to being organised again as I am back to work tomorrow with my first appointment of the year.

I did a deep clean on my MAC to remove all the duplicate files and photos that I have accumulated so I can free up some disc space as it's always running low. I use a program called Gemini II for that as it does the scan and then lets me choose the action to take eg removed the oldest file of the two dupes etc. Free'd up 9GB of space just on pics alone.

Below shows my desk vs the shite pile in the corner, which is probably a bit like social media vs reality. You show the tidy parts of your life online and don't mention the shite you have going on. Hopefully, in my blog, I talk about both parts to keep it real and not make my life look better than it really is.

I prefer to do it this way so that I can start doing work rather than spend the whole day trying to get the whole office tidy. I always have the outlook that somewhere didn't get messy in one day so don't always try to fix it in one day. As long as I have made some progress that's how I measure my success. Progress is progress!

Cleared out muy old brochures and posted on Facebook if anybody has a use for the old gift wrap sample book as I hate to throw stuff away that could be of use to someone and save them money or Arts & Craft supplies etc. Kelly from Bring me Sunshine popped round for a few of the Giftwrap books and had a brew and a chat. She is so easy to talk to I think we could just chat for hours if we had the time. She does some amazing work with her own CIC and has the same ethos as me where she is not in it for the money and just likes helping people.

Managed to ring the docs to book in for my blood tests next Monday so she can do my aged 50 men's health check and also do another urine sample as my last one had blood in it. She has requested an ultrasound cos I've had pains in my kidney area for about 3 weeks. Fingers crossed it's just Kidney stones and I can pass them. I say just but apparently, it's not pleasant.

Had a phone call from the court enforcement people who are trying to get me back the money that Ash Mcgiffin owes me (since December 2021). I've purposely typed in his full name and also put it on the tags so that fingers crossed if anybody googles him my blog will come up and be a warning to others. He is now saying he is not working as he is struggling with his mental health as he's had a lot of things going on etc. I told her back in December when he had an excise for not paying then that when January came round he would have more excuses. anyway they are not letting it drop and are going to give him a couple of months breathing space so not to put pressure on him and then we will see where we go from there. If anything it's taught me a lesson not to lend so-called friends money again. You do someone a favour when they need help and this is how they repay you. Apparently, this isn't his first CCJ so he clearly has form for it and has absolutely no scruples. Hopefully, I will eventually get it back as it's over £1000 and if he has an ounce of decency he will want to resolve it. That said though having seen how money affects seemingly nice people previously and turns them into horrible people all over greed and doing the right thing doesn't always pray on some people's conscience as it would mine.

Had a few games on the PS4 with Fi after dinner and then headed up to bed for 10pm to type up this blog as I am trying to do it before I go to bed as a journal so I am processing the day and everything that's gone on. That way my brain (hopefully) isn't trying to retain all this info through the night so I can remember it the next day to type it up. That's what I'm hoping anyway so I will sleep better (fingers crossed)./

Tomorrow is my first day back at work and I am aiming to get up at 5am and start my rise at 5 again as it always gives me such a sense of achievement when I have completed so many taske before it's even 7am. Watch this space to see if I manage it lol.

Goodnight.
