Parking Fine is just Fine

When I went to Market research the other day in Stockport I couldn't log on to the Ring Go app as it wouldn't recognise me but also wouldn't let me set up a new account as it said I already had one. Strange. I logged an issue with Ring Go asking for a password reset but after several attempts, still nothing. So I ended up having to leave the car park without paying for a ticket. Anyway today, 1 week later! I got a reply from Ring Go saying they are just the payment people and any tickets would be issued by Stockport council and gave me their email. So I sent them an email:-

Hi

I recently parked in the car park at Stockport Town Centre (the one with the spiral entrance that makes you dizzy). The payment machines were not working and so I tried to use the Ring Go app as instructed (I'm good like that). The Ring Go app would not let me log in so I requested a password reset. No such reset came through after several attempts. I logged a ticket with Ringo and have JUST received a reply some 7 days after contacting them. Obviously, I couldn't wait in the car park for 7 days until they decided to respond so left the car park an hour later and was unable to purchase a ticket. I am more than willing to purchase a ticket now they have resolved my issue but just wanted to check that there is not currently a warrant out my arrest, a trained assassin hit man about to take me out with a sniper or my home about to be repossessed if I do not keep up repayments on some finance agreement that has been set up to pay fines?

My car reg is NE12 GRE and I parked there for an hour on the 14th Nov.

Thanks in advance.

Kind regards

After about half an hour I got a reply back from them:-

Good Afternoon,

Thank you your email.

We have checked vehicle registration number NE12 GRE on our system and can confirm there are no current Penalty Charge Notice's (PCN's) issued to this vehicle; If you do receive an on-street PCN, there should be a yellow parking ticket stuck on your windscreen, if you are in doubt please contact us and we will be happy to help.

Kind Regards,

The Parking Team

I am sensing my humour fell flat lol, but the good news is I didn't get a ticket :-)

Wrote a load more Christmas cards out so I can get a head start and get them sent out early. I have printed the address labels using an app that gets the info from my contact which saves quite a bit of writing

Other than my parking drama the rest of the day was quite uneventful.

The End. :-)
