Not a great start to the day when I did my usual rise at 5 and my first step is too jump in n the shower but there was no water! None of the taps upstairs or down we're working. I posted on Facebook straight away to see if it was just me and it turns out someone else had asked the same question already. After a bit of digging, I found out that there had been a burst pipe on the next street so all the neighbours had no water. Had to had THE coldest shower EVER. Got a watering can of water from the water but outside so I could flush the loo also wash my hair and shower. It was ICE cold, but with the recent trend for Ice baths and cold water therapy,
I thought it wouldn't do me any harm. I would have boiled the water to warm it up but I was running late for my morning appointment in Bury.
I got to the street and could not see the building I was looking for so gave the customer a ring but no answer. So I then rang the listed number for the premises online to see where it was. They gave me clear directions but when I pulled up there were loads of posters all over the outside advertising different businesses and Companies House also listed over 20 businesses at that address. Anyway, I went in and asked for the company I was looking for and the guy said it wasn't in there. I then gave the name of the guy who I was meant to meet and he said he would ring him. He didn't answer then either. It all seemed very dodgy and I wasn't impressed I had driven all the way there for the guy not to even show up. I told the office not to ap[prove he account and emailed the guy to say we only really supply shops not individuals with a trade account. He rang me 3 hours later to say they run events and wanted to start selling in part of the unit I went to. I told him to get in touch when they had a website or something in place but under the current circumstances, I couldn't approve their trade account.
When I got back home the water was on again, thank god. You really don't realise how much you take running water for granted, we are so lucky really in the UK compared to a lot of other places.
Well since Bella's visit to the vets and £97 for more meds. I have been told to take her diet right back to the basics that are least likely to be the cause of her alergies. So she has been on food protest the past couple of days turning her nose up at it. Well, today we've turned and corner after realising I wasn't going to give in and change the food for something else....
I'm so happy that she is finally eating it. But I feel mean giving her something I can tell she isn't keen on. SO....
My friend Layla told me about this hair mineral test you can do, so I've paid £65 for the test and put some of her fur from the brush (after cleaning it then brushing her so I knew it wasn't also Bonnies fur). They test for over 200 different food and environmental allergens so hopefully when the report comes back I will know what not to give her. It must be food related because already her skin isn't really bright pink and hot and she isn't scratching hardly and its only been a few days. I would rather pay £65 to find out what to avoid than have her on medication. You would think the vets would recommend this test?
After dinner she even decided to come lay on me, which she never does lol. Probably cos she isn't so hot and irated with his skin now bless her.
