Did another Market Research yesterday to do with local councils and what they could do to help people during these difficult times as petrol is now tipping the £2 a litre mark and everything is going up in price. A few of the things that were suggested were that the government shouldn't have taken off the energy cap as those price rises are going to cripple some people this winter. They could also reduce the fuel tax on petrol and not take so much so that it wasn't so expensive.
While it wasn't too hot I thought I’d be good and take the dogs on the field for a walk so they can still get their exercise and I didn’t have to walk much. We had literally not even got onto the main field when I went over again on my ankle. It must be weak now so isn’t supporting me properly if the ground is even slightly uneven. It’s on the outside edge so it’s easy to go over on it even though I've got it all taped up for support :-/
Even though it's frustrating when you have injured yourself or have toothache or whatever, it does make you appreciate things when they go back to normal. I guess without those time you tend to take a lot of things for granted.
The pandemic and the whole lockdown thing brought a lot of things into focus that we take for granted, like the freedom to go out when you want etc. I try to do a lot more socialising with friends now even if it's just popping round for a coffee as you never know when that luxury could be taken away again. I mean 2 years ago when we first went into lockdown, everyone thought it would be 2 weeks or month tops but it ended up being about 18 months in total. Meeting up with Kelly and Sammy at weekend made me realise how much I enjoy catching up with friends no matter how long has passed.
