Received my latest product test from the Home tester club, this time some whitening toothpaste. Probably not the best product for me as my teeth are already white so I will maybe do a double test and take before and after pics of Kirsty's teeth too and let her use it for the trial period with me.
Made Seafood Poke Bowls for dinner for me, Kirsty, Layla & Jay but Kirsty & Layla were given the wrong start time for their market research so had to stay in town another 2 hours, so had their dinner paid for. Me & Jay had ours in the garden as it was still really sunny. I opened a bottle of white wine to have a glass with it but didn't even drink mine as I wasn't really that bothered about wine, it was only cos Jay wanted one, so let him finish mine.
I said to Layla when I knew they had to stay in town longer and have food "don't let Kirsty have a drink or she might be refused from the market research if she looks drunk. Not long after Layla posted a pic of their meal from Waggamamas, I can guess who's is the healthy green smoothie! When they got back it was clear Kirsty had drank more than just the one drink as she had that attitude again. I don't understand why she couldn't just have a coke or something with her meal. Well no scrap that I do understand, it's because she has a drink problem.
When they came back Kirsty was clearly drunk as she had the attitude again, but I really couldn't be bothered getting into it so I just watched TV and ignored it. Again I will mention it tomorrow in my own way. I know the best approach with Kirsty and talking to her when she's had a drink is not the way as it just escalates and she gets all aggressive.
The upsetting thing isn't the way she is when she is drunk or the nasty things she says etc as I am used to that now, it's the fact that when she hasn't had a drink she is the nicest person you could ever want to meet. She would cross over the street to go and help an old lady struggling to carry her bags etc, even if that meant she was going to be late for an appointment or something. When I spend time with her and she's not had a drink, I don't want her to leave and enjoy her company. She's funny, we laugh at daft stuff, we both love our food and she is an absolute pleasure to be around. But as soon as she has a drink, and it doesn't even have to be a lot, (cos she has a brain injury so isn't mean to drink), she just becomes a different person and isn't nice to be around.
It has taken so long for us to get to a place where we have a good relationship and I just hate the thought of it all going to shit if she stays with me. If I don't see it I don't have to deal with it and stress over it, but when I see it I can't help but get stressed about it and I'm not about the drama, I like a stress free life.
Anyway, to end on a nice note, it was a gorgeous day today so I took a few pics of Layla in the back garden, since she is technically on her holidays lol.
