Today has been a day of taste testing. Even Bella Got involved and had some of these new Harrington treats that are 70% and have no grain and no artificial colours or flavours. She can be fussy with treats and food but seemed to like these and didn't hesitate to take one from me. She always goes away to eat it and doesn't just eat it where I give it her lol.
I managed to catch her on video as well as posing for a cheeky photo with the product. She didn't stick around once she had her treat she was off ! lol.
Next it was my turn to have my breakfast and another product test...
It was cereal time. Now just to show I am fair in my product testing I will admit this wasn't really for me. I even added some sugar to make it more manageable but still it was very much like eating bird seed but then again maybe that's more because I'm not a muesli fan in general. I just had to keep adding milk to try and get it down. But if you are a muesli fan might be worth giving them a go as the ones I had were pecan and almond crunch so had small balls of granola in there. There are also some whole nuts in there so be careful if you have false nashers.
I also started my cake market research today so tried the first of the samples (I have 11 to try). It's a tough gig but someone has to do it eh ;-) I have to try a cake a day for 11 days they are all individual cake bars and come boxed in foil packs to keep them fresh until I am ready to try them. Unfortunately I am not permitted to post pics of the products as I agreed to a kind of non-disclosure (see I follow the rues me) so I can only show you the big bag I go tot take home.
In other news, since acknowledging how adverts annoy me when celebrities do the voiceovers and use words like WE as in WE have some great offers or OUR sale etc as if we are meant to believe they work for these companies. I seem to be seeing more and more of the bloody things now and I don't even know why they annoy me they just do lol. You can read my full moan from my previous post HERE
My other pet peeve is LIKE used after almost every word in a sentence. It seems to be more evident with the younger generation and I notice it whenever they do interviews with younger people on TV. Why aren't schools picking kids up on this when they have to speak in school? Sorry I sound like a right old grouch now don't I lol. I've even noticed it in adults as they must pick it up from their kids. It seems to be an American thing that has come over the pond as Americans seem to use LIKE SOOOOOOO much. Oh and while I'm at it, why have we also started saying can I GET when ordering food and drink from places? "Can I get a coke?"
I know this is random but I was watching a TV show and there is a character who is old and end of life and is in every episode but doesn't speak. He does do stuff. but never has any lines. Does that mean he just gets paid as a walk-on part? Just wondering cos he's in a hospital bed for a lot of the series so it's quite a cushy number really if he's getting full actors' wages lol. Not sure why these things pop into my head but they do.
