Woke up with my girls on my birthday, at least I wasn't alone lol. I turned over and my chest was so sore, it was really painful when I breathed in. If this is the start of my 50's I don't it. OMG just typing that I am now in my 50's feels weird as hell !
Came down and opened the cards I received in time for my birthday as well as the presents that came while I was away.
It was nice to save some things to open on my actual birthday even though I know some people have already said they will bring cards etc to my party.
Lynn came round with bacon butties, and buck fizz to celebrate my birthday with me. She is already running around for our friend Amanda taking her to hospital appointments etc so it was so nice of her to find time to come visit. She even brought me some windeaze in case my pain was trapped wind. She said she would "blue light them over" lol.
Went for a meal at six by Nico, wish Adele & Mike and Carli & Adam, which is currently my favourite place to eat (review to follow). You basically get a six-course taster menu for £37 and the menu changes to a completely different one every 6 weeks. So I now book a table for 6 people in advance so that I have at least the next 2 months booked in. I don't even need to know what the menu is cos I know I will love it. I've not had a bad dish there yet.
The theme tonight was Hollywood and so every dish was inspired by a Hollywood movie for example the dish with the red "blood splatter" was inspired by 'Scream'. I loved every course (as usual) and the gang loved it too.
