Life's a Drag.....Brunch

Got the tram into town at about 1:30pm so that I could meet Lynne, Cathy & Gaynor at The Cockatoo Club on Richmond Street. The room was really nice, kind of a boudoir vibe with a small stage at the front.

We arrived at the venue at around 3pm and ordered a bottle of fizz as the bottomless didn't start until 4pm. The hostess drag queen Victoria Carriage was really bubbly and chatty and I could tell straight away it was going to be a great afternoon. She was from down south (one of my favourite accents) and immediately gave a disclaimer that if you were easily offended you can F-Off lol, Brilliant.

As well as the main hostess doing lipsync's there was also another drag queen called Demi Decay who did a lot of dance numbers, splits and tricks. Just watching her leap off the stage into the splits made my balls disappear up into their cavity :-/

The drinks were free flowing with a choice of cocktails or prosecco if you upgraded to the gold package (which we obviously did). I will say one thing they weren't shy with the drinks either, they were constantly coming round to see if anyone needed topping up and there were plenty of staff on duty. after the first part of the show, they came round with some food, which was toasted bagels cut into pieces and topped with either cheese and ham or smoked salmon and cream cheese. All very nice and a good shout for filling a gap and soaking up some of the alcohol.

After the brunch was over we decided to go to a few bars in the village. We may or may not have gone into bar pop but we defo went into New York New York (it's all a blur lol).

Anyway it was a really good afternoon/night and I was still home a reasonable time ( I think).
