Lazy Days on Sundays

Had an upsetting start to the day as when I woke up Bonnie was breathing really fast and heavy and didn't want to get out of bed. Her stomach was really swollen and she just looked really sad. I ended up scriking (for those not from Oldham that's crying lol). Bonnie bless her was licking my face and licking my tears which set me off even more. I just kept hoping this wasn't her time. Anyway, I got myself up and headed downstairs and they both followed me. She wasn't interested in drinking the milk I had put her meds in, which has usually been successful when she's off her food. It's a catch-22 cos her stomach swells when she won't have her meds which makes her feel full and be off her food. But without her food, I can't get her meds down her. She also needs to eat more because her neck and collar bone is so skinny you can see each of her bones.

I had a sofa day with my girls and just cuddled with them both wrapped up in blankets watching TV.

At one point Bella was lay n me and I was dying for a wee but I didn't have the heart to disturb her cos she was sleeping and looked so peaceful. I just had to cross my legs and wait for her to stir lol.

Had my nee pasta find for lunch, it was different pasta saucers made from beetroot, spinach, turmeric and other stuff so they were all different colours. I had some homemade pasta sauce with choritzo that I'd cooked a while back and saved in small portions. It was so rich and flavorsome I couldn't possibly throw away the extra.

After a lazy day just catching up on washing and watching a few episodes of Big Brother US season 24 I got ready to go for dinner with Lynn. She always knows good places to go that Ive never been to before so she booked us in at The Blackfriars in Salford near the Arena.

She picked me up and then we dropped her car at hers and got an uber into Uppermill for a couple before we headed into town. We had one in the Albion Tap and then another in the Wagon and horses.

We originally were seated in the main bit right near a table of 4 with 2 VERY loud guys and you couldnt have a conversation as the noise from their table was so loud. Lynne (whos not one to bite her tongue) mentioned to the waitress how loud they were and that we would be eating quickly to leave. She came back and said she had another table if we wanted to move? Hell yeah !! we ended up with a much better table in the Atrium with big glass windows and plants everywhere. It was probably the more sought after area so we struck lucky.

We had the 3 course Sunday Roast and it was absolutely gorgeous. Everything was cooked perfectly. The beef was really lean, the roast potatoes with so tasty and all the veg was cooked to perfection.

I was stuffed after we'd eaten and we just got an Uber home and called it a night. Great Food, great company and a great night.
