It's a Claim Claim Claim

Updated: Sep 21, 2022

Sprung out of bed at 5m when my alarm went off, so I didn't have time to snooze or make excuses why I didn't need to get up. Followed my morning routine and took the dogs out for a walk at 6:30am as planned. I even remembered to take a carrier bag out with me this time, as it always frustrates me when I see all the litter on my walk and don't have a bag to collect it in. Filled the bag just on the short walk to the Northgate pub and emptied it into the bin at the bus stop. I would love to sort out a campaign for The Virtual Tavern called "Tavern Tidy" and encourage everyone on a specific day to collect rubbish in their own area and post pics of what they managed to collect. Imagine the difference it could make if every member picked up even one item of litter, never mind a carrier bag full. I will add it to my list of things to organise :-/

Chased up my High Court Writ with the court enforcement officers I have appointed to deal with my claim for the money Ashley Mcgiffin has still made absolutely no attempt to pay back. Got a speedy reply back letting me know it's now at the compliance stage and a letter has been sent to him and he now has 7 days to respond before an agent is assigned to the case. It would have been nice if they kept me updated by email to let me know what was happening, rather than only finding out anything when I chase it. With a bit of luck, he won't respond and they can send in the bailiffs to seize goods to the value of the claim, as I am NOT prepared to accept a repayment plan, as that is what he is expecting. If he wanted that he could easily have started paying that LAST December when the money was due. It's so annoying when you lend someone money to help them out and then they make no effort at all to pay you back and then just act like you shouldn't expect it back.

Also submitted my compensation claim for my delayed Jet2 flight as it was over 12 hours, so I think there is a standard payment of £350. I don't rely on this kind of money and instead, see it as a bonus when it is eventually paid to me. I will put it in my savings account when I eventually get it.

Also got a third claim ongoing with my pet insurance for the prescriptions I've had to buy so far for Bonnie's heart condition. Seems like all my money is in other peoples hands these days :-/

Lynne messaged me to say her friend had booked 2 tickets to Oldham Coliseum to watch The Road tonight and couldn't go. In true Sieze the day style I said yes. First, two observations from one of the pics below are that a) we are smiling as it hadn't started yet and b) how fat does my face look? Diet starts tomorrow!

OMG It has got to be the worst thing I have EVER watched and I’ve seen some rubbish. Ir made Little Voice at the Lowry the other month look like Miss Saigon lol.

It made absolutely no sense any of it. It’s like a load of out-of-work actors all wrote themselves a scene that had nothing to do with each others and then just threw it all together.

We were literally counting the minutes until the interval to make our escape. Seemed like we weren’t the only ones. There was a mass exit at halftime with bewildered people leaving.

If you are thinking of going I’d give it a miss. That’s 75 minutes of my life I would like back.

I ironed a T-shirt and wore aftershave for THAT??

Thank the lord we’ve got Dream Girls on Thursday.
