Well, I hardly slept last night thinking about all the different things I'm having done and what kinda mess I am going to look on my way home from Turkey lol. Not in a worried way to be honest I am. quite excited about the whole thing, unlike Eddie who is bricking it.
Woke up at 5am and started getting sorted, shower, shave, the usual and then drove myself to Eddie.
I left the car at his and then we got the bus YES you heard me right THE BUS, to Manchester Piccadilly train station (what am I 12? lol). It was lashing down but that's nothing new for Oldham.
Got train, checked in at th'Airport and by the time we'd had a coffee and a bite to eat we were boarding.
We were sat on a row of 3, Eddie at the window and me in the middle and a very large me on the isle. From the start of the flight, he proceeded to Oooze his was into my space starting with the spread-eagle legs and then the wide arms. I was half expecting him to share my lunch ppffttttt.
View before take off...
Flight wasn't too bad though just watched a few TV shows and we landed in Istanbul at about 6:45pm TT (Turkish Time) and then it took about an hour to get through passport control. The queues looked huge but there were about 15 desks so went quite quick. Every time me and Eddie saw someone with male pattern baldness we were trying to suss if we thought they would be coming to our hotel and clinic.
Got through to the arrivals hall and we had to look for a G74 sign that some guy was holding straight in front. That's his on't phone sorting out our lift to the hotel :-)
He had a clipboard with our names on so off we popped to a private taxi transfer. Oh it was p1ssing down (great), there's no place like home lol.
The journey to the hotel took over an hour in very slow-moving traffic but when we got there the hotel looked pretty nice.
I've had a WhatsApp off Emre today the 'film crew' will be meeting me in reception at 8:45 tomorrow morning. You basically had the option for them to video your Clinic Centre Journey and you get a copy for free and they can use it for pr for the clinic. Who am I to turn down a staring role? lol.
Had some dinner in the hotel and then headed up to the room to type up today's blog, then it's an early night I think.
The room seems nice enough, I just wish they wouldn't tuck the duvet in so you can't move lol.
Have discovered this Sitelio that I'm using to do this blog is pretty limited and basic so gonna try and move to soma else going forward (probably not before I get home though).
That's it for today, its 11:05pm here so 'm off to bed.
