I'm Lovin it! Unless it's a T-Shirt

Updated: Jan 27, 2023

Been a bit behind on the daily blog so I am going to just get this one done and then backdate the others rather than start at the oldest or I will forget what happened on this day by the time I get round to it.

Dave the Handyman came over to finish off my ensuite toilet as the cistern needed replacing. He had fixed it last time so that it flushed but needed to replace the inside so the flush mechanism could be housed properly in the cistern. He'd had to leave the lid off since his last visit as the pipe was too bit and if he bent it then it would create a kink and stop it from flushing. He is also sorting out the shed roof as when I had it replaced there wasn't enough of an overhand, so when it rains it runs down the fascia board and is starting to rot them.

As soon as we had gone through what needed doing Kath and Paul came to pick me up. We headed into Manchester as we both had market research for a McDonalds project. We've done several pre-tasks this past week and had to buy a chicken product from two other fast food chains. Mine were Burger King and KFC and Kaths had to visit Burger King and Nandos. We then both had to meet 4 people in McDonalds and order the new McCrispy and then talk about the product and what other items could belong to this 'Family'. I had my interview first and then we both found a traditional pub to stay warm and shared a bottle of wine. Kath then had to go for her interview and I had shop around Primark as I had a £25 voucher from a previous survey I had done. By the time I had bagged myself some bargains Kath had finished and we got the tram back to Derker. We literally just got off the tram and Paul was pulling up to collect us. The money was in our bank accounts before we had even left Manchester - £120 thank you very much. :-)

I just need to take this opportunity, though, to moan a bit about Primark. I say some T-shirts on a stand in various colours (but all the same T-shirt) so I took 4 different colour in the same size into the fitting room to try on. Every one of them was a different fit! There would be one quite fitted and then another really baggy and loose. I double-checked I hadn't picked up maybe a muscle fit and then a slim fit etc but nope they were the exact same T-shirt (or supposed to be). I get that different t-shirts in the same shop will inevitably be different styles and fits, but the same T-shirt? I ended up with some clothes in XL, some in Large and then one in bloody Small ! Anyway, I like to focus on the positives and the fact I could squeeze into a small made my day lol.

Finished the first season of "Truth be Told" starring Octavia Fletcher, who has been in lots of good films. It's definitely worth a watch I had to finish the last episode before bed or I wouldn't have slept lol.
