Woke up 1 minute before my alarm went off as my SAD clock is working properly now so I get the sunrise gradually an hour before I'm due to get up. Morning routine all polished off and the weekend's blog caught up and it was time to walk the dogs. I must say normally the walk with the dogs is pretty, normal, and uneventful but this morning I felt like I had some kind of heightened senses. the birds everywhere were in full dawn chorus mode but each time I looked at one I could almost focus and hear their specific harmony. I actually captured a wood pigeon doing his vocals. Must have been the double espresso this morning lol.
Had a lovely afternoon with Lynne, Gaynor, and Cathy (who I hadn't met until today). We went to Gotham in Manchester for afternoon tea (very civilized).
It was a really good afternoon and I probably know every staff member of St Thomas school inside out now as all 3 of them work there so that was the topic of conversation most of the day lol. To say I'd never met Cathy before, she was really easy to get on with. That's one of the things I have noticed about Lynne, she curates her friends very carefully, so I don't think I have met one of her friends yet that I didn't like, which is always a good sign that someone is a good judge of character. Often you can meet friends of friends and think 'well they wouldn't be my choice' but that has never happened with Lynne.
Got quite a few pictures of the afternoon and changed the backgrounds on a few rather than have a dull wall behind us ;-) It's always nice to go out in the daytime as you get back early so still get your regular sleep. I wasn't really in the best financial position to go out, but I sometimes think you have to just take opportunities when they arise, and I'm sure money will sort itself out.
Speaking of money , I got an email to confirm £299 had come out of my account for the BELIVE license we bought during lockdown so that we could do Quizzes live etc. That means it must have come out each year since and I hadn't noticed, GGRRRRR I have emailed them to appeal it as didn't realise it was on auto-renew. This Tavern has cost me a small fortune over the past 2+ years as there are so many components you need and I usually end up just paying them myself.
We met a guy called Darren just by chance when we went to a bar across the road after we'd finished our afternoon tea. He was just standing at the bar and I asked him if he would take a photo of us all. You know when someone just has a warm energy about them, well he did. After I posted the pics on my Facebook, my friend said "is that Darren?" LOL Small world eh. I explained the situation and she said "yes he's lovely Darren". Maybe this is someone the universe is trying to bring into our circle? Who knows lol.
