Woke up feeling really tired this morning which would probably suggest I had quite broken sleep last night. I think I was conscious that I didn't oversleep and miss my alarm with having a few glasses of fizz yesterday so must have kept waking u and checking the time.
Me and Layla (I know that's bad grammar but I feel like the queen if I say Layla and I). missed morning yoga and postponed it until the evening just wind us down before bed.
It's surprising how not getting up at 5 and having a lie-in can actually affect the whole day. I felt quite stressed and rushed with everything I was doing as I hadn't got that head start on the day. The first stop was over to Stockport for market research taste testing. There was the usual (not my first time now) water and crackers on the table to reset the pallet in between products. This one was for Pringles for a new version they were doing that was healthier and less bad stuff. I'm being quite vague as I don't think you are meant to disclose the details as it could be a product that's just in development at the moment so I wouldn't want to give their secrets away to the competition. Not that the villain from Willy Wonker is going to be glued to his computer, staring through his monocle, waiting for my blog to come out lol.
Straight after taste testing, I popped round to Rachels to collect a brochure she'd had made for one of the companies we represent, who had made the stupid decision to stop producing one! How we are meant to prospect new customers without anything to show them is beyond me. Rachel's dog just had spinal surgery so is recovering and has to have complete crate rest. I think this is the 2nd or 3rd time now and it's not a cheap op, bless him.
Quick brew and catch-up and then headed off to my appointment in Barnoldswick. Like the majority of the customer I see, she was lovely and I enjoy having a chat with them etc. The drive seemed to take forever to get there this morning due to road works and queues and the stress was added to by the fact I was low on petrol so was constantly keeping my eye on the number of miles I had left. I should have just filled up on the way but I hate being late. It would have been a much more pleasant journey, without the potential chance of running out of petrol and my customer wouldn't have minded.
The Tavern in Tour is getting closer now and I can't help but feel stressed as there are still things to sort out. Welcome drinks have not yet been sorted and I need to check with the venue if they have a DJ area so I know what I need to take. I have complete faith that it will all go well on the night. I think it's because it's so far away that if I forget something there is no nipping back for anything etc.
We did our Yoga at 8pm so that we haven't missed a day yet. We are going to try and get back to doing it at 7am again from tomorrow as you do really feel a lot more awake and invigorated for the day if you do it in the morning. Even when I don't feel like getting up at 5am, once I am up and in the shower, I feel so much better.
Made salt & Pepper potato slices for dinner, I'm not gonna lose weight for my party at this rate am I? :-/ They were gorgeous though lol.
Registered for another product testing through Super Savvy. If anyone wants to join (it's free) and get the chance to try new products here is my QR code just scan it with your phone.
