Giftwrap Tuesday

An early start to the day as I had to get the dogs ready to drop off at mum's and give them both their meds before they went. After dropping them off I went to pick Rachel up for the drive down to Shefford in Bedfordshire for the Spring/Summer 2023 Giftwrap range launch.

The drive was about 3.5 hours as there was traffic congestion when we first set off so we got there about 15 mins late :-/

Usually, we don't particularly look forward to the Giftwrap meetings as we have to go over the previous year's figures and explain why we haven't hit the target etc. Thankfully this year I have exceeded the previous year's figures so I was off the hook. Let's hope this is a sign of things to come and we start to increase figures year on year now that things have calmed down with Covid etc and are getting back to normal.

The new ranges look promising and it's always good to have something to get going with for appointments at this time of year when it's starting to get quiet. We can do an early sell-in for deliveries in the new year to give people something new to start the fresh year off with.

On the way home I got an email from a card supplier who has been on our radar for a while, asking about the potential of working with us. This really gave us both a boost for the journey home as it will be a nice boost to our portfolio and give us a new list of customers to go at. We have a zoom call with them on Thursday after lunch so fingers crossed it will all go through :-)

Also got a couple of text messages for appointments this week which really feels like the universe is giving me that boost I needed to get my focus back on track and get me out on the road busy again.

By the time I dropped Rachel off it was about 6:30pm and dark so I headed straight to mums for the dogs then headed back home. I really feel like everything that is happening is just the reenergising boost that I need right now. I always like it when we have new stuff to focus on and to keep up busy. The worst time of year for me is when it's really quiet and we can't get any appointments. you start to get into a rut then and don't want to leave the house.
