Hi de Hi Campers

Updated: Mar 5, 2023

Over my morning coffee I sat down to read my daily chapter of Viola Davis book but this morning I got really engrossed and couldn't stop at one chapter. I read 6 chapters and could have carried on had I not needed to get ready to go to Wales with mum.

I wish I had found a passion for reading and literacy at school but it just didn't keep my attention long enough to appreciate it. Such a shame it would have helped me develop at such a quicker pace.

Kirsty arrived on time to look after Bella so I packed up my stuff and then quickly dropped Adele’s birthday card and gift round at their house so it was there for when she got home from work.

Picked mum up and then we set off to North Wales to open up the caravan for the season. The drive was quite easy as it was mid morning so the roads weren't busy. When we got there mum did her usually 'prophet of doom' thing and presumed everything that could have gone wrong had gone wrong. In mums mind the caravan was going have had an electric fire, put own by fireman and flooded and be floating in a pond somewhere. Not that she is worse case Wendy or anything. Anyway the only thing that had actually happened was the smallest split on a pipe outside so when you turned the water on it sprayed a small jet of water out of the split. If you asked mums version she would probably tell you we arrived to a Tsunami about to wash the caravan away lol.

After letting reception know we couldn't seem to get the electric on about our leak I headed over to Asda for some 'bits'. £35 later and I had lots of picky stuff and treats for the night.

We couldn't seem to get the telly tuned in so only had welsh channels and no itv or channel

4. The tv in mums room was fine so she took to her bed (to keep warm) and she stayed in the lounge reading my book. We brought kizzy mums Bird with us for a mini break and she appreciated the quiet when the tv was off.

It was nice being able to read and not have in the back of my mind that there was other stuff around the house that so needed to be doing.

We watched a bit of the limited tv channels available and had a sleep tea before settling in for bed. I took the lounge as it was already cosy with the fire and mum went to her room and put her heater on.

Camping in early March who's idea is this of a vacay? Lol
