When a quiet night is anything but

Updated: Dec 12, 2022

I've had a chipped tooth on one of my back molars for a couple of weeks now and even though it's not been painful it's annoying because it has a really sharp bit that I keep catching my tongue on. I have been meaning to ring the dentist since I broke it but kept forgetting, so I made myself ring as soon as I got up and would you believe they'd had a cancelation and managed to fit me in at 12pm. Quick check-up, no injection needed, sorted out with a filling, pulled my pants down, smacked my arse, £109 thank you very much.

Got home to a delivery of sleeping bags for the homeless shelter, Lifeshare and my dining room is starting to pile up nicely with bags of clothing donations.

I've ordered small numbers of everything I think they will need like thick socks and hats etc so I can check the quality of them before I buy more. So far the stuff that has arrived has been pretty good so it will be easy to repeat my orders on Amazon.

I took Bella out for a walk and it was bitterly cold, I don't even think even she wanted to be out too long and she is wearing a big fur coat. As much as snow looks lovely on TV and on Christmas cards, it's a pain when you need to drive anywhere and brings the UK to a standstill as soon as we get the slightest bit as we are just not prepared for any kind of extreme weather.

Lynne came and picked me up once I was ready and then we got a taxi into Uppermill from hers. We met a few of Lynne's friends in The Wagon & Horses and then went to a few different places and bumped into Natalie and her mates. What was meant to be a quiet night didn't end up that way and I ended up getting in pretty late (I'll regret it tomorrow). As you can see from the last pic, Drunk Neil ended up making an appearance and took a shine to Zoe's Faux fur coat lol.
