Managed to get the bulk of my room and the spare room organised as there is a bit of washing to catch up on that needed folding and putting away. Got my second black T-shirt from the Tesco home panel, this time it was a Marks & Spencer own-label T-shirt. to compare to the Tesco own label one. I need to take it for a spin, wash it and then wear again, to give it a proper test drive. I also had an email to say that after this will be a third one to test, so that’s three new T-shirts or free, what result. It's good to know that Tesco's put their products through testing with real people to see how they compare to others supermarkets and if they can make improvements etc.
My car passed its MOT with a few conditions needed to rear tires which I said they might as well do because if I hand it back and they needed doing they would charge me the earth I'm sure.
I picked my mum up at 6pm and took her to the Village Hotel in Ashton where I was participating in Market Research as a mystery shopper and secret diner. We checked into the hotel and then went straight up to the room as I had quite a few questions to complete about the exterior and check-in process.
After filling in all the questions about the room etc, we went down to dinner in the pub & grill (also part of the assignment). The food was really nice, we shared a starter or fires and onion rings with oili oili, I had Katsu chicken for my main and mum had the chinese noodles with prawns ( I think it was called a protein bowl) and then shared a basket of mini donuts for dessert.
There was also a singer on until about 10:30 (who I knew lol) who was my mate Tom's ex. The initial meeting was awkward but then it was fine once we addressed the elephant in the room. After we'd eaten I was stuffed and wasn't really in the mood for carrying on drinking, so we went up to the room and watcha. bit of TV in bed.
I'll do a separate review of the hotel when I get a chance and we link it from here.
