Had an early start as it's a 3 hour drive to Cockermouth with traffic and was picking mum up on the way. I thought it would be a nice day out for us both as the weather is gorgeous at the mo so want to take advantage of it.
It does feel wrong though, however, when it's so nice out and I am doing Christmas orders looking at snow and robins etc lol. The other downside about doing Christmas orders at the moment is that the money doesn't come in until after delivery which isn't great for bringing in the money now :-/ I do need to remember thought this year that when I have the good months in Sept and Oct that I put some away for the really quiet months in Nov and Dec otherwise I end up living off my credit cards for 2 months:-/
After my appointment, we took Bella for a walk to the river. The trip did end up costing me £50 as I forgot to put Bella's harness on her so had no lead or harness so had to buy one of each from the pet shop.
After a nice walk we decided to get some Fish & Chips and sit outside in the sun eating it. It was absolutely gorgeous, the chips were cooked perfectly and the batter was nice and crispy and thin not stodgy and thick. In hindsight, though we probably could have shared one portion and been satisfied, instead, I felt stuffed as I didn't want to leave any.
Got home and I got an Amazon delivery and it was a bottle of Whitley Neill Raspberry 0% gin from Hayley and Natalie for my birthday bless em.
My bar will soon be half 0% and half normal alcohol so that people have options when I have a BBQ or get-together.
I literally had time to drop mum off home, go home and feed Bella and then it was time to meet Tom at the Lowerhouse. We had booked in for Botox as it's been over a year since we last had it and I have a LOT of lines now on my forehead so that needs fixing :-)
I took a pic of me raising my eyebrows so I have something to compare it to once it kicks in. 2 days you can usually start to see it and then after 2 weeks, it should have fully kicked in. It's long overdue so I am looking forward to having a bit of a refresh.
Once it has properly kicked in I will take another doing the same thing, raising my eyebrows again, and do a side-by-side pic.
I spoke to Louisa who is our contact for the new Tavern venture and we have decided to bring forward the launch to tomorrow so we are before the bank holiday. It was originally planned for Monday but I forgot it was a bank holiday and people will probably be away.
So tomorrow's blog post will have al the details so be sure to check it out ;-)
