Today was a much brighter day and the minute I woke up and looked outside my mood was lifted. I had a nice appointment to look forward to in Holt at Bellis Brothers Garden Center. It's always a great appointment as they are happy to go through my companies and do orders from them all and usually do large orders (which is the holy grail of accounts for an agent).
Bella came with me today as it's not a long drive and I can park in the big car park and let her out every time I go back to the car to get another bag of samples. The Garden center was all festive which really made me feel festive even though it's only November. I hate winter but I do love Christmas. Had to take a few festive snaps lol, and oh look my bespoke own-label candles looking great :-)
It was lovely and sunny all day and stayed dry so I could let Bella out on the field for a run. I love watching her run about like a puppy she just looks so young still bless her. On the way home she was absolutely goosed and was falling asleep on my arm.
By the time we got home, Eddie was at mine ready for going out to dinner later. He had training in Leeds so came straight to mine rather than going all the way home only to come back later.
I put up the two Steven Brown pictures that Rachel's niece gave me because she is having a change of design at home and wanted them to go to a good home. I think they fit in perfectly :-)
I just need to get a 3rd Steven Brown canvas now so they fill the wall along the corridor. I have wanted something for that wall for a while so this has given me a boost to get the 3rd one for it.
Had a lovely meal at Stocco in Oldham with Derek and Eddie. It's the 3rd time I have been there now and the food has never let me down. I had the same main course as last time as it was so nice and was worried it wouldn't live up to the last time. I needn't of worried. I had the smoked duck with poached pear and walnuts to start. It was wafer-thin duck slices and was just beautiful, the pear was so soft and I'm not usually a fan of pears. For the main, I had chicken in mushroom sauce with gnocchi. The chicken skin was so tasty and crisp just like last time (so not a one-off) and really made the dish. Gorgeous!
Great food, great service, and great company. Highly recommend it if you haven't been, get yourself there.
And on that note, this pot-bellied pig is off to bed lol.
