I thought I was going to wake up rougher than I was to be fair. But I think when someone else is really drunk it almost makes you feel the need to remain that little bit more sensible lol. Had a bit of a lie-in and then went over to have lunch with The Wifeys (Alexa & Fi) and The Mudds (Mike, Adele, Tony - Adels Dad, and Matt). Hannah was working but we managed to pay her a visit too.
We had lunch at Diggle Lock which was really nice. Sadly I forgot to take pics, I'm still getting used to being a blogger lol. I had Chicken Ceasar Salad and a side of Fried Holumi. It was plenty. The others had BLT's with chicken and they were huge, would have been far too much for me. Plus I needed to save room for my dessert ;-) All the portions looked big so if you are thinking of adding on extras you might want to wait until you've seen the size of your main first.
After lunch, we nipped over the bridge to Grandpa Greens which was only a 5 minutes stroll. It was busy but we managed to get a large table outside. I think they have extended it quite a bit to keep up with demand. This is much to my friends Lynn's frustration as the increased traffic and customers parking on her street is becoming an issue for the neighbours, which is understandable.
I had a cappuccino and the Sundae with a Slatery's easter egg. Now I love my chocolate but it was too sickly even for me. I think the common complaint with most of the desserts was that if it is a chocolate dessert, you really don't want chocolate ice cream with it. Mike was the only one who finished his and he had vanilla ice cream on his (I rest my case). Alex insisted on requesting to see Hannah who was on desserts just to embarrass her. Both myself and Lex had doggie bags to go, which were lovely matching handbags :-)
By the time I got home, I was defo ready for a little Nap (sugar coma). Just managed to squeeze in a quick Tiktok lol.
