Crete - Day 7

Today was nice and sunny but I didn't really fancy going to the beach. I say going to the beach like it a day out but it's literally at the bottom of the steps from our studios lol. I didn't fancy any breakfast so just waited until lunchtime and then we went down to Akrogiali for something to eat. They have such a large menu choice it's definitely a place you won't get bored of eating and all the food so far has been lovely. Plus they do home-cooked chips not over chips which Andrea loves.

I went for a strawberry milkshake and a Tuna salad because I had been craving a tuna salad since yesterday. Oh I forgot to say the portions are big too so I didn't even manage all my salad as the bowk was really deep which you can't see from the pic.

Spent the day on the terrace with everyone listening to music and I watched a couple of episodes of Big Brother Canada on my laptop.

It was Kirsty's birthday but I had already given her the presents I got her as I thought she could use the aftershave all holiday and might want to wear the T-shirt but I saved her card for today. I also ordered her a cake from the bakery where Jackie got mine because it was so light and was more mouse than cake so not too filling or Too Rich. I'll find out the name so I can tag them. Also useful for people to know if they are celebrating birthdays whilst in Bali.

We started the night up at Harbour Cafe, which is just up the steps from our terrace. That pic was actually taken from our terrace. We had cocktails and a mocktail for me which was a lovely pina colada without alcohol. Nicer than just drinking lime and soda or something boring.

After a few drinks we made our way over to Panorama for dinner which is to the left of our studios. There is nothing that is too far away you can just have a stroll to a different taverna every night. We haven't even explored the resort because there is so much on our doorstep. George drove us down to the restaurant as it was a bit of a walk if you went along the road to avoid steps.

The food was lovely as always and Blathy the waiter remembered me. The first thing he did when he saw me was make the old-fashioned car horn noise that I normally do when I'm drunk lol. They brought out Kirsty's cake for dessert that I ordered from the bakery via Jackie.

It was such a lovely night for our last night and we just had a short walk back to our studios. We called in Star bar next door first on the way home for a drink. I didn't bother having one as I was soft drink'd out by the time we had finished our meal.

By the time we got back to the studios I was goosed and pretty much went straight to bed. It was our last night and we can just have a chill-out tomorrow on the terrace. We don't have to be out of our room early or anything as there is nobody booked in so we can just get ready for the airport just before the taxi comes.
