Coach, Tubes and Foods

An early start and got up at 5am and finished my packing. Headed into town to park at Chorlton Street Coach Station.

I had to do my usual thing and take a pic of where I had parked so I could actually find my car when I got back home lol.

I only had to wait 10 mins before the coach was ready to go. It was a 5 hour journey but to be honest it flew by cos I took a book with me and my laptop to catch up on my blog for yesterday. Arrived at Victoria coach station just after 12:30, then got the tube to Euston and then another to Camden Town, where I was met with the smiley face of Viv!

When I left home it was grey and miserable and raining but by the time I got to London is was really sunny and very hot.

Rather than have to wear my long-sleeved top and jeans we took a trip to Urban Outfitters so I could buy some shorts and a T-shirt. We jumped on a bus to ake us up the road to Viv's which was only actually 10 minutes away but we thought it would be quicker on the bus.

Viv's flat was on the main street, freally close to everything you could need, supermarket, food places, a pu across the road. I dropped off my bags and then a quick change into my London weather-appropriate clothes, then we headed back to Camden Lock for some lunch.

There is a food court with lots of different food stalls selling different cuisines from around the world. There was even a Mexican one that is TikTok famous with a massive queue around the block. Just shows the power of social media and the influence it was on modern culture.

We went for Bang Bang Chicken. I had mine with noodles and Viv had it with chips. Oh I forgot to mention that just before we ordered our food, Viv slid off one of her wedges and crickled over on her ankle into a heap on the floor. Never a dull moment lol. We ate out lunch by the river bank and had the two canal boat guys having a full-on domestic, for entertainment while we ate. After a walk around I needed something sweet to finish off my lunch (standard) so I bought some deep fried ice cream with salted caramel sauce and covered in Crushed oreo's.

We nipped back to Viv's for a quick nanna nap and then before you could say 'get your steps in' it was time to head back into Camden to collect Sharron from the tube stop.

We did another trip back to Viv's so Sharron could drop off her stuff. I feel like I know this journey now. Soon as we dropped off we headed back to Camden Lock for drinks and tapas. The food court was closed but Viv knew a nice tapas place so we got 6 dishes between us. I talked them both out of over-ordering as I knew we would end up full once it had time to settle. I forgot to take pics of the tapas GGRRR but it was lovely and just enough.

After tapas we went to a local pub for a few drinks. I had blackcurrant and soda while they had wine. I didn't feel like I was missing out not drinking as I was in good company so we just had a laugh. We headed back home about 12:15 as I was blackcurrant and soda'd out and had been up since 5am.
