I thought I would get the day off to a productive start and get some washing done. Well, so much for that. It would seem that the washing machine isn't fixed after all and the kitchen ended up flooded for a second time.
Not the start to the day I was hoping for but on the plus side the kitchen floor got a good clean. So that's 4 appliances now that are in need of some kind of repair. The washing machine doesn't work, the latch on the dryer is broken, the ice machine doesn't work and the ensuite shower no longer works. I really need to get on top of them all and get the house back to full functioning again which will in turn remove stress. When I have a lot of little things that aren't working around the house it starts to feel like things are spiraling out of control, which has a negative affect on my mental health becasue they are always in the back of my mind. That's why I find mind maps help as I am able to just dump everything down on paper and make a plan to sort them out. I might as well see if the plumber guy an also sort my shower while he is fixing he washer so I can cross two things out in one go :-)
My Listerine Gum Defence arrived. That's this months product test I've been sent to test drive. I was actually due to buy some mouthwash as I have just run out so it was perfect timing. It was like an imediate manifestation. Likewise when I was just thinking on Friday that I needed to book myself a facial as it had been a while. The next thing I knew I got an email from Face & Body promoting their £10 facial offer for the first 10 customers. Needless to say I booked on and headed over there after a shower for a 30 minute hydraclean facial.
Anyway, there wasn't much I could do about the washer except make a call to a plumber who said they would give me a ring on Monday. So the next job on the list was to carpet wash all the upstairs bedrooms, landing and the stairs with Eddie's Vax washer. It was really therapeutic seeing all the dirty water come out of the cleaner. Even though I didn't feel like there was a dramatic difference you see side by side, it was good knowing that dirt was no longer in the carpets.
Had a chilled rest of the day and then played a few games of Warzone on the PS4 with Fi as she needed abreak from her studying. After that I watched the new Luther Movie. To be honest it was really dissappointing. It was all too far fetched and didn't feel like a Luther film. It was more of a cross between James Bond and Silence of the Lambs. I mean (no spoilers) there was an evil lare in the middle of a bloody desolate snow filled wasteland. I was almost waiting for a rocket to burst out of the ice so that some faceless villain could escape whilst strocking his white cat. BIG dissapointment.
