Chilled Sunday

The SAD alarm clock did it's trick! Went to bed last night with the room pitch black shutting the blinds for a change. Set the SAD alarm for 7am so at 6am the light came on faintly and then began to glow brighter and brighter until 7am by which time my brain had got the 'Sun's up, get up' message and I was wide awake.

These two had other plans though and didn't want to get up. Bonnie always knows if she gives me cuddles or kisses that I will stay in bed longer, she's not daft lol.

Andy Lee came and picked me up to take my old mattress down to my mum's for Kirsty's old room. It's just like new cos I only replaced it cos I got a deal if I bought two at the same time.

While we were having a brew at lunchtime Jay popped around to see if I fancied going to a 75th birthday at a house party. Another last-minute invite from Jay when he has probably known about it for ages. I told him I'm not always gonna be available these days as I do have a social life so next time give me a bit of notice. Then there I was available lol. Usually, when something is last minute and unplanned it ends up being a better time.

It was a really great afternoon and met some lovely people. The birthday boy Stewart was really funny and a little bit camp even though he was married. He has managed Cannon & Ball and a few other comedians during his career. Had a long chat with a guy called Frank who had appeared on one of the Bear Grills shows. He was a really interesting character and I said I would love to interview him for Tavern TV. That's sometimes I want to pick back up again for the tavern, so I have been looking up online buying a microphone that plugs into your iPhone. I phone it would be good for being able to interview people on location :-)

Met a really nice girl called Saffron who does a lot of work with CIC's and applying for grants etc, so said if we ever needed any help filling out applications she would be happy to help. She is also a dance teacher so obviously, we HAD to record a TikTok dance lol.

Drank lots of champagne and some really nice buffet including individual chicken pies lovely). Me and Jay got a taxi back and then spent a few hours in the hot tub as it was still pretty early cos we only went out at 2:30pm.
