Drove to Lytham to do a Christmas appointment for Stringer's department store but had to leave Bella at home as it was sunny when I set off and I didn't know how hot it would be when I got there. Practiced my conversation skills with my customer and asked her questions about what she got up to during the Easter break etc. Found out she has two children and a cat (which I didn't know) and likes to Ski.
Gave Viv a ring as part of the Tavern's weekly Check-in Tuesday where we encourage people to reach out to someone they haven't heard from in a while. You never know what they might be going through and a simple call and a chat could make the world of difference. As it happens she was on a 12-hour shift at work bu is going to call me for a chat Thursday.
Took a pic of a nice display area we have been given for one of my companies Ziggle which does baby gifts.
It's always nice to see a good size area dedicated to one of your companies. I didn't have chance to look at the cards and wrap area as I was on a parking timer so had to get back to move the car.
Had a really good chat with my Pal Jenna who is considering going alcohol-free as she is sick of the 3 or 4-day hangover and is already realising that it is affecting her mental health. so we have arranged a catch-up and dinner at mine on Friday. She is a lot younger than me and is only in her 30's but I wish I had come to this decision then and I might have got more out of the last 15 years of my life. That said though I don't think you should regret the things you have done in life as they are all learning experiences, even if you F'up, as long as you learn from them. My problem was when alcohol was involved, the lessons I thought I had learned and wouldn't do again, were out of the window.
Me & Rachel have our sales meeting tomorrow with Giftrwrap UK so let's see if they have any comments about the feedback we gave them regarding direct orders. Speaking of which my article on the subject was published today on and industry website PGBuzz. It was originally a blog post I was doing but thought it might be of interest to them so sent it to Tracey to have a look at (I used to do a monthly column for her when she was t Greeting Today magazine.
Dinner tasted better than it looked. Chicken Kiev, mixed veg, mash and a chicken chasseur sauce.
Early night s want to get up at 5am to get a head start on the day and ready for our sales meeting as they aren't usually great and it takes me all my self-control to not get overzealous when giving feedback etc. lol.
