Early nice for breakfast at 7:30am as soon as it started. We had some fresh fruit, a glass of juice and banana pancakes. They did the pancakes really nice and grilled the bananas or something instead of just throwing them on raw like I prob would at home.
Straight after food we headed over to Manta Dive as we had one booked for 9am. Jorg was meant to be coming with us but he cancelled this morning as he had an ear infection which meant he couldn't dive.
The dive actually worked out good for us as there was just me and Layla without dive master so we go to see more. The boat had about 12 other people on but all in small groups with their own dive master. I would definitely recommend this place as they make everything so easy for you. The equipment is all set up and they carry everything onto the boat etc. All you need to do is try on your weskit and fins. Also, the wetsuits were really nice 3mm short ones instead of the full legs. So much easier to get on and a lot more comfortable than the thick long ones. It just takes all the stress out of the diving experience when you are not struggling to get into a wet suit.
Once on the boat it was time to roll backward off the boat and we were in the water. We went straight down and during the dive saw SOOO much. We say about 3 sea turtles really close up to us. They are just so graceful and don't seem to be bothered by poplin the water. We also say about 4 baby sharks hiding in a little cave opening. There was a sting ray burying itself in the sand, lots of tropical fish in large groups. It was definitely my best dive to date and the perfect way to finish off my diving journey in Bali. I just wish I'd took my underwater case out with us and got some pics. That said, sometimes you are that focused on taking pics that you aren't present and seeing everything around you.
After the dive we grabbed some lunch as we were both starving and a glass of vino (well I did). We had calamari to start followed by Mahi Mahi with potatoes it was lovely and about £6 each.
We nipped back to the bunglalows to grab our snorkelling gear and hired bicyles from our accom for 50 dib dabs each (about £3) we could have got them this morning if we had thought on as it was the same price for the whole day. So we cycled up to Turtle point and locked our bikers outside a nice bech hit bar with bean bag loungers. The let us leave our stuff there while we did a bit of snorkelling. It was really shallow really far out so you have to just get facedown int he water and move about that was or you spend ages tiptoeing over shrp rocks and coral. We had the underw`ter case with us and manged to get upclose to a sea turtle, just casually eating from the bottom of the seabed paying us no attention.
After we had a few drinks and chilled on the bean bags for a bit we headed back to the bungalows to get ready. We got showered and changed and then headed over to Scallywags where the others were eating. We waiting downstairs on the beach front as we had eaten already and just got a drink.
Everyone came back to our bungalows for a couple of drinks supplied by the guys on reception and then we headed back ontothe front to a cookl place called sunset surprise or someting like that. I just remember at one point in the night Layla was dancing with this group of young girls at the side of her trying to copy all her dance moves lol. Funny ! It was a good night and we danced until pretty late. I left Layla there as she was not up for coming home anytime soon, but I was goosed.
