Got an email about my flight and it’s all re-booked. Also he said I can have a refund on the $270 I had to pay for my other flight, YAY ! Saw the Spanish guys in the communal area and they all looked dead lol. They remembered my name and I swapped email addresses with Juani as I took a few photos of him and his mates and he wanted to view them on facebook. They all left today but were really friendly and made a point of coming to find me to say goodbye before they left, bless.
Went round to the hostel round the corner for a few drinks with Fabian but he ended up sitting in the smoking area chatting to some guys in Spanish so I went and sat near the bar, which is always a good place to meet people. True to form I got chatting to a Scottish girl called Sophie who was on her own. She’s very chatty so we got on like a house on fire and become the best of mates really quickly. A few beers later and we started to think it would be a good idea to sign up for the drum and base night at my hostel.
We went round to my hostel and signed up but they weren’t leaving until 1:30am so I went and got the rest of the bottle of Pisco from my room and we drank that with coke. Well, 1;30am came and went and it didn’t look anyone was in a rush to go anywhere. Eventually at 2:30am one of the guys from the hostel and two of his friends came downstairs and said it was time to go. It seemed me and Sophie were the only ones from the hostel who had signed up for it lol. We walked about 10 minutes to the club which was in a kind of basement club (not mouldy and smelly or owt it was a proper club). A few shots of Sambuka later and we were both feeling the whole drum and base thing LOL. Its not the easiest of things to dance to though you just kind of jump about or so it seemed. Bumped into loads of people from the bar crawl who seemed genuinely pleased to see me, which was nice.
We called it a night at about 9am as we were both goosed and had also had enough of drum and base, so arranged to meet up tomorrow to do a bit of retail therapy.
