Had a lay in as it was a late night/early morning last night, but the it was grey outside so I didn’t mind.
Bought some internet time and decided to use today to try and get our photos uploaded as the weather was bad so we weren’t missing out on any sun or anything. So we spent most of the afternoon sat in the communal area using the wireless and updating facebook and checking emails etc.
We got changed later and went into the bar for a few drinks and some dinner. We bumped into Scarborough Barbara who we had met at the bus stop in Airlie Beach when we were going on our trip over to the Witsundays Islands. Kieran bought us some shots cos I got him a pie last night on the way home from the beach party. I’m trying to blag a free hat out of him too cos they have these white ones that say “pure Blonde” on them (that’s the name of a beer over here but it looks good).
While we were stood at the bar a Belgium guy called Amir started talking to me, who we had clocked earlier eyeing up all the girls lol. I explained the set up with me and Sam and then he said I could be his wing man and get the girls for him as they would be putty in my hands. He didn’t exactly need my help as he was gorgeous but who am I to refuse to cry for help lol ;-). I found one girl I knew would be his type but she was sat at a table with a guy and some other girls so I played the Sam card. I told her to say the girls mate that he would be at the bar in about 2 mins (he’d gone the loo) and that he liked her mate. Sam only went and told the mate that it was HER he fancied LOL. Anyway in the end she found the right girl outside and told her and I took him out to meet her. I told him to do the whole pigeon English thing cos girls like that, cos his English was too good lol.
I don’t think she was really interested so he stayed with us most of the night ( I wasn’t complaining). Kieran invited me to another beach party (I think they try to do one most nights cos last orders is 12am and it gets people out of the bar). I wasn’t really up for it tonight as we are up early tomorrow for Fraser Island so just had a few drinks with everyone from the bar then hit the sack.
