Okay, so I didn't actually get up at 5 am this morning because I was too tired having not slept again last night. I did get up at 6 am however and got a lot of things done and ticked off my lists including some social media for Reil Agencies. Took Bella out for a walk early to tire her out for the journey to Kirkham. It was a lovely sunny day all the way there and it's amazing how much it lifts your mood, when it's not dark driving to work. Bella slept most of the way so the walk early doors must have done the trick bless her.
I had a really good appointment with Heidi from Serendipity House as we spend most of the time chatting and having a brew and putting the world to rights. She even brought me a bottle of wine in for Christmas bless her. I always end up making work for poor Heidi by suggesting where things could be moved around in the shop and she always takes on board my suggestions. This time I decided it's only fair that if I am suggesting it that I also get stuck in and help. So while Heidi was serving I started to move a few shelves around so that she could spread out some of the gifts she had instead of spending money in January buying more (which can be a quiet month).
Before I left we jumped on a quick Facebook Live so I could be her assistant while she promoted some of the clothing she was putting in the sale.
Layla came up to mine when I got back from work and I made us Italian Baked Eggs that I had seen on 'This Morning' with some griddled sourdough bread brushed with garlic. It was pretty tasty if I say so myself :-)
We chatted aout our next big trip for this year and she has already got somewhere lined up for next year. I love it because nothing is every just a pipe dream or anything with Layla. When she talks about something she makes it happen which is great for me because I love going to unusual destinations or places with lots to do because don't always have time to look for them.
So for this year we are hoping to do Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam in one Trip and then I think she has found a place off Vancouver that looks good. More travel blogs to come this year then ;-) lol.
